Post MODULAR SHOOTOUT ?

This may sound like a stupid question but I never claimed to be a drag racer. At the modular shootout page they say heads up racing does this mean pro tree bracket or just whoevers fastest wins? It also doesn't say any thing about nitrous in the Lightning class. Before I called and asked a bunch of stupid questions I figured I'd see if anyone here knew.

HIRISK:
The modular motor classes are bracket races based on your ET's, the Lightning classes are run anything on your truck, bracket racing, pro tree, with only three qualifying runs total for the weekend. No practice or warmup runs. If I ever enter again it will be in the Mod Motor class because you get practice every morning, and are running bracket classes. Sorry but I don't remember how the tree was for them. My $.02 worth on FFW.

High, the Modular Shootout event is Pro Tree, first truck to the finish line wins. The only limitation I've seen in the rules is that you can't use "Race" transmissions.

1BAD: Mod Motor is exactly the same format as Top Truck - Three qualifying passes and then eliminations. You have a chance at more money in Mod Motor, but with people like Mike Murillo (and 100 other mod motor rental cars) in the class, you really don't stand a chance at it. Top Truck has less of a payout but since there are typically fewer competitors, you have a better shot at the money. Both classes are identical in format and in number of qualifying passes. There are no practices.

If you want to make passes, race bracket. Just realize you'll be racing very experienced bracket racers in almost every class. You can't go to events like the FFWs or WFC to make passes. Just too many participants that have to go down the track. Friday night Test N Tunes (or the jillion other street car events they have at HRP) are for making passes.
