Talking Polo shirts

Thanks Kevin, the shirts came in today and they look great. Now if only Ford could ship parts as quickly as you I would be a real happy camper.

Thumbs up

got mine a few weeks ago, and took them along on a cruise last week. surprised by how many people knew what an "L"
was on some of the islands. as a goodwill gesture, i signed some autographs on the ship and islands as "THE CAPTAIN OF THE LIGHTNING RACING TEAM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". the shirts sure looked official. the dealers and stickmen asked a lot of questions about the truck also, and i was able to leave with about $1200 of their money, so get a shirt and join the "TEAM"

Hi Christy, you are still the "Imperial Empress of Lightnings", and we bow to you
catching up on the posts i missed, congrats on your placement at WFC, sounds like a good time was had by all.

ps: i think "@unts respect", means that his aunt was riding shotgun in the other car, and finally gave him the respect he deserved, by pulling on his aged uncle, who's reaction time has slowed with age. or something

Watch out Christy Ann, when they went to film the orignal stars wars they ducked taped the Princess's tatas down cause a princess isn't supposed to be.. well you'll figure it out

kevin,

Received my shirts last night after returning from the track. COOL!!!! Mrs. Speedin Bob wasn't real happy i didn't get one in her size.......(hmmmm the "L" is growing on her) Everything is happening as I have foreseen

BBQ, excellent story. the $1200 semolions would help with a couple payments, mods, or gear I'm sure.

Now taht we have an informal "group" when do we get hats that looklike a storm cloud with "bolts" coming out of it. Kinda like the shriners. I sense a parade.......

Thanks again Kevin

Unhappy

Hello all,
Having some financial problems, and doing some bitching/moaning with Suzanne today *sigh*. Things have gotten really tight during my time of sickness/distress. I don't know what to do?

I did get my shirt from Kevin, and I appreciate this very generous gift. I don't know Brian P. by the name. Can Brian step forward with his "F-150 Username" so I can give him a thank you?

So back to the issue of whining about finances. I went to the bank yesterday with Suzanne (GF), and found out that all the money I "thought" I had, was not actually there. It looks like all the medical bills, and other things have slammed my wallet hard enough to make me think twice about owning my Lightning.

I am still sick, and know I can find a way to get around this, but I really need to ask you guys for some help here. I figure that if I ask for some help, then I can alleviate some of the stress, which in turn will help me to continue getting better (health wise). Can anyone make any suggestions on how to balance my budget a bit better? Here is a list of all things that seem to be necessity.

Rent
Food
Gas (Pontiac only)
Car Payment
Car Insurance (Pontiac & Lightning)
Medical
Laundry
Electric
Phone
Cell Phone
Savings

Here is a list of things that are wanted or for enjoyment.

Food (Dinning out-Fast Food-Quick Stops)
Gas (Lightning Only)
Maintenance (Lightning Only)
Fun (Zaino, Racing, Movies, DVD Rental, Etc)

Is there anything I am missing? I also own 2 vehicles. I own a Pontiac Grand Am, but I am thinking about taking the insurance off that vehicle & turning the plates in during the Summer. If I chose to do that, then I'd be using the money I'd spend on gas/insurance for the Pontiac on the Lightning instead. I also no longer have to pay a storage fee of 65$ since it's Spring/Summer. I figure that will loosen up about:

1: $100 for Pontiac Insurance
2: $65 for Pontiac Gas
3: $65 for Storage Fee of Lightning/Pontiac

I can always keep the Pontiac outside since it's gonna be nice. I don't have to drive it.

I am so confused. Talk about being stressed out! If anyone else has a framilar story or situation that you feel like sharing, could you e-mail me?

mikeparent@hotmail.com

I hate to say this, but I am deffinately close to being "literally" broke. *sigh*

I can't even afford to do anymore modifications. I worry about just driving the Lightning because it's $15 just to drive for about 1-1/2 hours. Thats just a 1/4 tank of gas. I pay almost $55-60 to fill her up when she's on empty. *grrr*.

Ok I think i've got my nerve racking point across. "Please help"

Mike, give me a call sometime or send me an email with your phone number. I'm going through many of the same issues as you and the medical bills for my cancer are staggering as well. I'd love to talk and if you need an ear, I'm always available.

Godspeed,
Nathan

I just noticed this post so I am a little behind. I asume these polo shirts that you are talking about have some sort of Lightning logo on them. I would like to know how to buy one of these shirts or if they are still available. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, HANKFAN

Hankfan,

Yes, you still can get a polo if you like.
Also for those with significant others, you can send me a shirt and Bev will do the logo on it. NO SPANDEX/LYCRA!! https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/002934.html
