Question THE ULTIMATE BOLT IN MOD?!

I just had an interesting idea...what are the possibilites or problems with taking a 5.4L DOHC out of the Lincoln Navigator, and swapping the pistons, bolting on our Supercharger, and bolting the whole dang thing, right back into a Lightning? Is this possible? Practical? Beneficial?

Injection is nice, but I'd rather be blown. 99 Lightning, the best of both worlds!

It will not fit (the 2 valve intercooler into the 4 valve). If you are looking for performance there are plenty of modifications that can be done to the 5.4 2 valve that will make it run. Now if you want to have a novelty motor you could take a 5.4 4 valve and add your choice of supercharger with intercoolers or aftercoolers. Don't forget about the Holley supercharger.
PS. Remember this, just because you change the supercharger does not mean that you will get better performance than the Eaton.

Hmm...meaning its impossible, or meaning that a few more parts would need to be changed? What words can I search for to read about this? I think the extra potential of the DOHC is worth a little extra work if its possible.

Seems to me the only real question is whether or not the intercooler will go in to the DOHC. Assuming the engine will fit in the engine compartment, with the proper mods to the hood, will the engine actually accept the parts off the Lightning engine? That intercooler goes WAY down in there in the V. Not so sure the V is that deep on a DOHC. Anyone here with a navigator?
