Need some help!!!
I'm looking for some opinions on how I should deal with this delema. I'm looking at a '95 Lightning in really good shape w/119,000miles. I leave for Iraq in the fall sometime. Should I get this '95 Lightning or should I wait and get a Gen2 when I get back. I'm a very impatient person and granted I don't know if this guy would take the deal I would even offer him anyways for his Lightning. What should I do guys and gals...plz help me...lol!!

Are you looking for a daily driver?
Second? Are just looking for a roller?
There is a post on MILOC where a guy is selling a Gen 1 that is tubbed if I remember and has a cage in it.

Majikmik, Opinions are like a$$hole$... Mine would be to wait until you return and go for the Gen II, sounds like that's what you really want.

yeah I know they are but I like to know what people think about things...lol!! Honestly I like them both, yeah the gen2 is faster but money can make anything fast if you have enough of it and when I get back I'll have plenty. Then again alot of it would go into the price of the truck. If I get the gen1 most of the money would go into the speed end of the whole deal that and it being older I'm more prone to beat it up and test on it more then I would the gen2. If I could get both I would do that in a heart beat. Anyone else got some opinions.

, so here is mine. the gen1s are ugly as heck. i have never liked that body style of truck and the Ls are the best looking of the bunch but i still think they're ugly. now the gen2s and 97+ bodystyles, now they are sexy, very nice curves, nothing like the previous refrigerator box look. do you want an old truck that is a 15+ yr old bodystyle or do you want a newer bodystyle. the 1s outhandle the 2s, the 2s have way more power. you can make either super fast. you'll get the gen1 cheaper. i think save some money and get whichever you want when you get back unless you just NEED one now. just my opinion. good luck my future L brotha and be safe in Irag!
