I talked to Dave King this weekend and told him your concerns about running heads up against 1st gen lightnings. And since it is a modular shootout he ruled that ONLY MOD MOTOR TRUCKS CAN RUN IN THIS CLASS. So anybody that wants to run must have a 4.6,5.4 or a v10. If enough 1st gen lightnings show we will run a seperate class for them. Any other questions please contact me. Hope to see ya's there.

Wait a minute now, I had direct conversations with the promoters when they first informed me of having a Lightning class and made sure they understood that the Gen 1 Lightnings weren't mod motored and I was told they wanted them there anyway. I have already promoted the event based on this information. I don't think it's particularly fair to change that mid-stream like this. Someone is getting a nasty-gram.
