Add a tow hitch later?
Newbie question:
If I get an L without the "tow package" option. Can I add a tow hitch later? Or is there more to it than that?
None of the L's around me have tow hitch packages?!

You can add it later, but they are standard in 2000. In fact I haven't seen any 99's with out the tow package.

When I ordered my 2000 L, the only option available besides the color was the soft tonneau cover. It came standard with a trailer hitch and wiring harness (and a CD player). It did not come with the receiver bar and ball. I guess if I want to tow, it is up to me to buy that. I know with some other vehicles, the trailer package includes a tranny cooler and different gears in the rear. The L already has a tranny cooler, and Ford did not offer different gearing with the L.
