Strickly a guess here!
I know for a fact the 99's are 100lbs
The 2000's have bigger studs, assuming they torque a little more than that!
I'm not sure exactly how much tho, I have a 99L

Veddy strange. I have an '00 with the 14mm studs, but I was pretty sure that the spec was still 100 lb./ft. When I was searching for Gorilla locks one of the guys at American Tire pulled a lug nut to size it, and I thought the spec. was stamped on the nut. So, just for the heck of it, I just went out and pulled a nut to see, but there was nothing on it. So I looked through both manuals, and didn't find the spec there, either, although I admit my search was pretty cursory. So, now I'm wondering myself where I got my info, and why I felt so certain of it.

For the '99 L, the torque spec of 100 #ft is stamped on the lug nuts. Hey Peter, what do your nuts say? Oops!

Hey guys,

Previous post from adp specified 150 ft/lbs for the '00 L w/ 14mm studs.

Search under 'lug nut torque'

Sorry, that quote was from 'silverbulletonorder'

Unhappy

Franko,

Searched under 'Lug Nut Torque', couldn't find a reference. I don't own a 2000 L so I can't comment on the torque values. Can you give me a link to the spot where I said that?

Thanks,

adp

Alpha, the spec is on the washer portion of the nut for'99. When the nut was redesigned for'00 for the 14mm stud, the spec may not have been included. It should be in the owners manual though.

Question

This is becoming curiouser and curiouser. I could have sworn that when the tire guy pulled one of my lug nuts to size it it had 100 lb./ft. stamped on it. So I just went out and pulled six different lug nuts from two different wheels, and none of them had a spec stamped on them?
