NO POWER - LOOKING FOR REASON WHY
Intercooler fluid level is normal. Everything "sounds" normal, it just does not seem to have anything at low RPM's. I raced super modified's & sprint cars for 16 years, to me it seems like the cam don't start "working" until around 3500 RPM's or possibly a timing problem. I should have the same cam & timing as you all, so I don't think this is it.
I could put in more mod's (chip, filter, gears, etc.) but my point is I am starting out with a 15.5 second truck. I would be spending all my hard earned money just to make her as good as your stock truck.
I assume the timing, fuel/air ratio, etc. is controlled by the computer. Is it possible my computer is programmed different that the "normal" 2000 L?

I borrowed a G-Tech from a friend. That is where I got the 15.32 seconds @ 96.3 MPH and that was the best of five runs.
Reaction time does not figure in when using a G-Tech, so if I had a .500 reaction time at the strip I would have a 16 second truck.
Guess I better talk with the dealer.

When I first bought my 2000,I thought it was a little quicker than my 99.I was wrong.I was a tenth of a second off at the track with the same conditions as my 99.I ran consistent 13.9s all night.I saw other 2000s run 13.7 all night (stock also). There is definatly a difference between trucks. Also my superchip doesnt seem to work as well on the 2000 as it did on the 99.The shift quality is better but it lacks in performance feel >I will have #s from the track to post next wednesday weather permitting.
Old Kid, I have a 2000 L with 3,500 miles on it 100 % stock. It will spin tires and go sideways if I give it full gas off the line( no power braking, launch off idle only). It has gotten faster after break in, when new it did not spin the tires too much. You may want to get a G-Tech so you can get a better idea of how fast your truck is. If you dont get low 14's in the 1/4 I think the dealer gets your truck back.
I recommend this approach,
1. Talk to your dealers service representitive and explain to him the problem your having. He will most likely be very helpful. They should run your truck through a series of tests to ensure that all systems are working properly. Hopefully this will uncover whatever is causing your truck to under perform.
2. If they are not helpful try another dealer and see if that works.
3. If you fail yet again, call your states department of Commerce they should have some contacts that could influence Ford Service.
4. Don't mod your truck until you find the defect. Yes if your truck is running as slow as you posted it is DEFECTIVE.
Best of Luck
P.S. Sooner is Better..
