Question ? for those with CyberWhite fog lights

I have a set of CyberWhite "Navigator" fog lamps that have been sitting around for a while, and I am finally about to get around to installing them... I have read some good things about them on this forum, but haven't seen a write-up or any pics of how they were mounted (how the bracket was attached). If any of you guys that are running these have pics, advice, or a write-up to help me through this, I would sincerely appreciate it - I just had time to glance at the OEM fogs before heading to work, and the wiring harness that came with the kit makes me feel absolutely retarded when it comes to wiring this up - especially since there were NO instructions/diagrams in the package . is there any way to use the existing harness, and just splice the wires from the fogs?

Thanks,

Steve

I had to go and make new brackets to hold the cyber whites on my water jet machine. I had them in there without the new brackets, but they would only fit in crooked and looked like sh@t going down the road. The way i did it originally was I did not use the brackets that were supplied, I pushed it through the hole and put the two hooks on the side of the fog lamp through the original holes drilled from ford. Then I used zip ties to hold them in there. It was the worst way to do it, but I got them in. With the new bracket I made, it's 10x's easier now.

Well it has been almost two years since I installed and started running these foglights, and they are still just zip-tied in there and haven't come out yet. Link to original thread....

Besides what was said in there nothing has really changed besides the fact that I wired them up to run with my brights on and with the warning lights, everything else has been the same. Good luck with wiring yours up though, they were really pretty easy to do, I did them in my dorm parking lot with very little tools available to me.

edit- they are also the ones that are pictured in my sig, still running strong

Patrick,

Looks like you just cut the OEM connector off and spliced the new wires to the harness... Is this right?

Thanks for the link, and the info!

Throw the mounting brackets in the trash, you won't be able to use them.

I bolted mine in by drilling two small holes in the light housing between the bracket mounting studs and the backplate. I then threaded two 2-inch fine thread screws into the plastic about four full turns and cut off the screw heads. Pushing the threaded rod up against the Lightning airdam, I was able to score the paint and determine where I needed to drill the two mounting holes. Once the lights were bolted in, I just cut off the excess threaded rod.
