+01 After Market Fog Light Replacements (pics inside) <<<

Well guys, after going to many different dealerships and being fed up with them not replacing my fog lights under warranty I took the initiative to find a replacement set that was better than stock and held up under harsher conditions.

I went to Walmart after hearing on this board that a member had found a set that fit perfectly with our stock setup, I managed to find that set and install them today, and the difference is phenomenal. They are called "CyberWhite by Navigator." They come with a 3 color glow ring around the lense that you don't need to hook up, they look perfectly normal without it. It is part number NV-607WK. They are 55 watts and look amazing at night. Now onto the pics because they are really all the proof you need.

^ this was taken during the daytime, these new lights really seem to fill up the fog light area much better than the stockers, they look right at home there.

^ this is how they look from the rear of the bumper, they fit perfectly in the original hole for the factory fog lights. The fog light has 3 wires coming out of it, one red, one white and one black. After testing it, the red wire went to the glow ring so I just cut it right off. The white one ran to the red cable from the original foglights and the black wire ran to the black wire from the original foglights.

With simple hand tools these foglights took less than an hour to replace both. I have them held in with one zip tie just in case but they actually fit perfectly and very tightly I might add to the stock hole. I had to trim a little part off where the original fogs were screwed to the bumper and that allowed the new lights to be perfectly secure. The price came to $39.99 for a new set of two.

Next Post will include night shots.

Now the night shots, these lights are MUCH brighter than the stock ones and they look excellent.

This first pic is from about 25 feet away.

This pic is from about 150-175 feet away where you can see how bright these lights actually are.

All in all I am very happy with how these new fog lights turned out, the installation was easy, and I honestly think they look much better than stock, and they are also made of glass so they are a lot tougher as well.

If you have any questions about them feel free to ask.

Now a token shot of my truck after a little detailing session, ain't she purty?

Thanks for the pics. I think I'll save a hundred plus and go buy a set at Wal Mart.

It looks like you can unscrew the back to replace the bulb, but I guess it would be easiest to just replace the whole thing. And, no, I don't know the bulb number, sorry.

I dunno if the trim ring would really be ricey?

It might be kind of cool like the BMW "angel eyes" thing.

When I wired them up wrong the first time, it only showed the trim ring in red and it looked kind of ridiculous. You could wire them up but it would be quite a bit ordeal and they are a dif color every time you turn them on, sometimes red/green/blue, and without getting them to come on the same color and the wiring involved wasn't worth it to me.
