Post Sean Hyland stuff

Is anybody familiar with SHM's products for the 2nd gen L's. There was an article in MM&FF Feb '00 about the stuff. He offers a chip, Pro-M MAF w/optimizer, and an exhaust system from headers back. From what I read on the Corral I think he's pretty reputable there.

I plan on paying Mr. Hyland a visit shortly. His products in his advertising only talk about 99's and from what I'm reading, there is mucho difference with the '00 computer.

His shop is about 30 minutes from me and halfway to my dealer. Also has a dyno there.

My dealer, who used to do a lot of the install work for Hyland, mentioned that Roush and Ford worked with Sean Hyland to get the L engine to hold together after problems were encountered with proper oiling. So I would think he knows a thing or two.

Will keep you posted.

Heard the same What04. Since we are in similar areas, I am probably going to go with his chip setup. I have chatted with them on the phone and they have been extemely patient and answered all of my questions. That way, if something does go wrong with it, then I don't have to travel as far/ship to get a fix, etc. I don't particularly like his air setup and will probably go with something else....I have to check it out first though....

I don't know much about Sean Hyland Motorsports and Lightnings, but I used to have a '97 Cobra, and he seems to be the subject matter expert on those modular engines. If you have the money, I think he can build you whatever you want/need. He has the know-how.

One thing I am interested in is that he sells a 5.4 longblock that is built up stout with Cobra 4v heads. It is supposed to make HP in the 300s Naturally aspirated. I bet it might really like having that intercooler and blower attached on top.
