Our own Bill Murray, who owns a HobbyTown store down in Deliverance-land somewhere.

I saw in the latest SVT catalogue that they are carrying diecast lightning models. I ordered from Exoticars last Dec. and still have not recieved it Thanks for posting this so I remember to write them yet another NASTYgram for what ever good it will do....
P.S. Just looked in the catlogue and they carry the same model as Exoticar, I guess I'll cancel their order and buy it from SVT if they can assure me of delivery....

I ordered red and black die cast models, they are not 1:18 though, they are 1:21. I got them from the Ford Catalogue, made by burago. Got them within the week. Very cool toys for only $27. The wheels even turn with the steering wheel. I keep them here on my desk at work.

Mike

By the way, I think I may have a rare version? My black one is chromed out where the cheap plastic usually goes (grilles, side steps, rear bumper step). My red one is not like that, nor the black one in the catalogue.

Brim,
Did you order from SVT??? Actually ALL the black ones have the "chrome",and all the reds have the black trim. I found a red one at a local hobby store, but I am still w/o a BLACK ONE!!! I emailed someone else on the board who claimed to be able to get them cheaper than the $27 plus s&h, but has not returned my email. I told exoticcar to take my order, ahine it up real nice, turn that som-bitch sideways and stick straight up their candyasses!!! 4 Months and never heard about my order from them...NEXT!

Hey guys, I ordered mine from Exotic Cars, although red, it is a great deal for 19.95 + tax/shipping. They only come in Red and black. Good project for a paint job.

Recd mine pretty quick, maybe they forgot about you?

Thumbs down

Hey PD, it must be nice....
I know that they have not forgotten me, I send them e-mails periodicaly to which they always have another lame excuse and another "you should have it in 2 weeks"
Ya right.......
Exoticars is good about sending me catalogues though, they must figure that I would actually think about buying from them again.

Clonetek,

What do you mean by "performance package"? Do you want the r/c model ready to run? or just a package with all the parts?(radio, battery, charger, truck)

Tower Hobbies offers a complete package, but you still have to assemble it yourself. You might want to look in your Yellow pages under hobbies, for local hobby shop they might have a better deal, and I'm sure that they would assemble it for you.

I have two of them

The performance package is a lil different than the regular package in that you get an upgraded chasis, power supply unit, and battery. I ordered the one he offered to the board here and am quite pleased except for the fact my battery never stays charged long enough. Bill was right on it and got it to me very quickly.

mistersvt,

Your battery dosen't last very long because, it sounds like the package that "bill" sold you has a performance motor. If you want it to last longer you need to get a better battery. You should find a local hobby shop they should be able to help.
When was Bill offering this package? I missed it.
