Lightbulb FINALLY THE 11's

Well after alot of tweaking and alot of aggrivation PFA, Mrs. PFA, and my crew cheif Nate took a trip to Norwalk. Friday at Milan I had a hard time getting a 1.95 60' but Norwalk is a different story.
Here's the time slip numbers:

.617 reaction time
1.772 60'
4.956 330'
7.653 1/8 mile
90.87 mph
9.993 1000'
11.995 1/4 mile
111.96 mph

Only got two runs after waiting all day. Second run in the bracket race was a 12.018 @ 113.8. I was sleeping at the light and this guy in a white lighting put me out. I'll have BABolt scan the slip so no chevy guys get MAD.

CONGRATULATION !!!! to High Risk...
I was glad to here that you made it into the 11's yesterday at Norwalk. We all knew that you would do it, since you were sitting on the threshold there at Milan. Congratulation to PFA on a new best time too. Bob, I know that this is just the start, there will be more 11 second passes.
PS. I will be more that proud to photograph your Lightning and the enhancements that you have made to it.

Congadulations, Norwalk does a great job keeping the track nice. Friday's they have a test and tune. They scrape and spray the track with VHT every 100 passes.

Like I posted the first time WHY ARE YOU ON THIS BOARD AGAIN? I don’t enjoy your board so I don’t go there, Please F off and don’t come back

HIGH RISK Big Congrats!!!!!!

Question please. I see you are running the MT 26X11.50 16 Drag tires on Ford spare tire rims? I have some and although they measure 8" bead to bead they are stamped 16x7. Are you using these same rims? M.t. says use 9" rimes, did you have any trouble mounting the tires on these rims? Did you use tubes in the tires? What pressure are you running.
Thanks,
noelvm
I've been running the BFG'S for two sessions and they don't work. I want to try something else.

Scan of Bob's (High Risk) time slip from Norwalk (yesterday afternoon). Additional photos of Bob's mods to his Lightning at Zing.com and some nice photos of Bob and Steve's (silverbullit) Lightnings. Steve thanks for the scan.

GREAT JOB!!!!
I happen to be next in line and saw the 11.99 pop up on the board! I knew it was what HIGH RISK had been looking for for quite a while! Milan's track just wasn't going to give it to him.

Now to roll bar or not.....

I ran my best with a 13.43 @ 102.4 MPH.
Not exactly 13.2's, but stock wasn't 13.9's either! (14.3)

Did the torque converter give noticeable performance gains?
thanks,

Noelvm,
The street slicks are mounted on the spare that came truck and a spare that came out of a F-150. I didn't notice the size stamped on them but they measure 8". I do run the tubes Mickey T. recomends with 14.5 lbs cold.

Brimstone,
The torque convertor helped the 60' a little at first but after the NOS and the headers the power band moved up quite a bit. It seems to be working better with these mods. along with it.
