Not as much power as before
Well guys and gals
On my 99.5 Lightning it feels like it doesn't have the power it use to.
I have the following mods
Superchip
PSP air filter
JBA jet coated headers
Bassani cat-pipe
Borla cat-back
I last mod I did was the air flter kit and before that it was the headers. And I have 1800 miles on the truck and about 700 miles on the last mods.
When I am traveling at 30-35 and I step on it the tranny is not downshifted like it did when the chip first installed. The truck pulls great as fast as I want to go, but the shifting is different now.
Is there any reason why the shifting is lighter now then before? I know they say there is a learning period on the ecm and chip. I just want the shifting I had before. Can a chip go bad? If so how can I tell?
Also I have flipped the chip back to stock and the shifting is like normal on a stock bolt.
Thanks for any advice
Vern
