Post NOTHING BETTER

Yesterday, beautiful chrome wheels went on the L.

Black with the chrome, amazingly gorgeous.

It started to make me feel sorry that Ford did not produce enough blacks for everyone and a lot of you had to settle for red, white or silver.

I feeling so sorry about this.

I will say the Chrome wheels look the best on black.I had them on my white 99 but I still think they do the best for black Lightninigs.Probally cause Blacks are kinda too plain. They really dress them up! I just bought a new white 2000 after having a white 99 and I still think red looks great and i almost traded my 2000 1 week old for a silver after seeing it in person!! I just coudnt though. That would have been crazier than selling a white 99 for a white 2000! Do you know how many times Ive had to explain why I did what I did in regards to selling mine and buying a new one 3 weeks later

Hey Guys,I was thinking real hard about having my lightning wheels redone in white.Have you guys seen an L with white SVT rims?I thought that that would be better looking than the chrome on a white L.

MRBBQ
Did you happen to get any pics, or can you? I was thinking of doing the wheels also.
Thanks

I agree that chrome looks better on the darker, slower ,trucks. I would be interested in seeing what white powder coated wheels look like on the white truck. Why dont you be the guinea pig on this one and I will hang on your coat tails if it looks good. thanks

Thumbs up

I was definately thinking about being the guinea pig.Found a place to strip the wheels and need to find a place to powdercoat them.I like the chrome wheels but i think that the white ones would look sweet!I agree with lightningquick they would be a pain to clean.Im gonna do it,it will be my next mod.

PFA, it's on the way to work, and i haven't seen it for about a month. a new white excursion is in the drive now, and i think he/they traded it. it looked very good, not gaudy at all, the colors flowed well, he capped the mirrors and the only black was the bottoms of mirrors/tires/bed steps/rear bumper tops. it looked as bad as a blacked out one. the matching windshield banner was the "kicker"

ZorPrime,

I saw an all white Expedition the other day (white billet grilles, wheels, lowered, ground effects, etc.). It was really stunning and sporty looking. We were going in the opposite direction but both slowed down and stared at each other as we passed each other, giving the "nod." I would go for it.

What about black chrome for the darker slower trucks? Hm. Probably too much black.

See, another good reason to have the fastest color, Silver: The wheels come color coordinated from the factory, as does the interior! TGIF!
