Post Trans pan

Has anyone check out Mag-Hytec's pan? It is supposed to have a o-ring so you don't need a gasket, a drain plug, plus a port for a trans temp gauge. I don't know what the capacity is. It not cheap. $325.00. B&M Racing also offers a cast aluminum pan with a dain plug that hold three extra quarts. I think it's about $165.00

Yes I checked it out. They make nice products and in about 6 months they will have a differential cover, they are really trick looking. Sure would like to see a dif cover from TA but they are just starting to think about doing one.

I don't think that cover will fit the Lightning. The Lightning dif. is a 9.75 Ford unit and it is diferent than a Dana 60.
Correction 10.75 to read 9.75

I thought it was a dana 60? at least thats what if been told! I'll have to check it out. If guys are using the gears in the motorsport catalog m-4209-h410 or m-4209-h373, then the lightning has a dana 60.

Going Thursday night. It is FME night at Milan ( Ford Motorsport Enthusiasts)www.teamfme.com . Cost $12.00 to join and then it is $30.00 to race for the evening at Milan. Yea, it is more than the normal $20.00 charge but it is fun. Come out and join. Gate opens at 4:00PM. I had spoke via e-mail with Roy Rothlisberger of Mag-Hytec and he told me that they did not have a cover at this time but I do know that they have one for the Dana 60. I will call him this afternoon. I may be slow racing this evening at Milan but if my slicks come in I will be hunting for Lightnings.

I had to go do some double checking and I looked at the Ford 2000 Racing Performance Parts catalog again (page 93) and something seems amiss. They show a ten bolt cover (M-4033-H) and call it a Dana 60. So I just went outside and shot this photo of the Lightning Differential Cover (12 bolt). Hey I don't know, check it out.

BABolt-

I think the rain has put a 'damper' on Milan tonight. Jeff Boulton hasn't returned my calls. I had hope of getting my first runs in this year.
