Best specs for 2000L CHIP!
jarmstro- Did you ask Danny Swanson if he dyno'ed the 2000L to get the program? If so what #'s did he give you? As I posted earlier, it is very possible to convert the 99 program to the CUX2 module, but according to the tech at Superchips, they changed the specs for the 2000L program after they dyno'ed 3 2000L's. They also had a conversion program that they sold, prior to the CUXR2 program that came out less than 3 weeks ago. PSP may have the same situation. So far no one has his chip on a 2000L (do they???).
jarmstro- I checked back in my records, and it seemed I talked to Danny Swanson on April 24th; he said he had not done a chip for a 2000L as of then. He specifically told me he had the truck for about a month, bought it from Beverly Hills Ford, black like mine (the fastest color), but really recommended having me bring my truck down to do the chip on the dyno, if that was what I wanted to do. Maybe I am confused, did he burn a chip for you based on the 99 program, then you had a problem with it, then sent it back, and then he put your chip in his truck to check it out, and thats when it was fixed?

No I'm not too close to Danny's shop since I live in Texas.
As far as burning my chip the process he went through I'm not sure..... all I know he did what I asked him to do, however talking to him further he did burn a chip for his L'. I asked for a firm shift and he did that on the first burn, it was too firm for me. The second burn was what I meant.
Since I'm at work today(bummer) I'm not able to get on the dyno. So.... I will go next Friday night or Saturday morning to Flat Rate in Pearland Texas and have Donnie do a couple pulls for me. I will keep everybody updated.
Oh yes.... he did mention and I quote " call me during the week if you can and i will let you know how the new MAF made on the dyno". Caca.... there goes more money(sorry CACA didn't mean to use you name in vain.)
Y'all call Danny and talk to him......310-214-9561

n20boy,
You live in Corona.... back in the mid/late '60s till late '70s we lived in Upland for a couple years then bought a home in Ontario. Of course back then Lyon's dragway was still there(if you remember or an older fart like me) and spent lotsa time there. The Snake and the Mongoose along with Bill"Grumpy" Jenkins were real popular back then. The Altered were also popular. These were nothing more than a short wheel based funny car without a body. You had to be crazy, I mean real crazy, to drive one of these. They were the most exciting.
Sad to say I was at Lyon's dragway(Long Beach) during the last race as 2 D9 Cats ran down the track tearing it up. It was a sad sight to see..... that track did so much for the community. Just too many complaints about the noise.
Then came Ontario Motor Speedway. At the time on the drag strip part it was the fastest in the land. Many top fuel records were set there. Sad to say that track went by the wayside also.
Then there was Pomoma... when I was there it was just a parking lot where the Winter Nationals were held. I suppose now it is a real race track.
I forgot the name of the track off/near Foothill Blvd or 605 going towards L.A. from Pomoma Spent time there too.
There was and still lotsa performance shops, manufactors in and around Upland and Ontario. Y'all live in a great area... but too damn expensive for me now.
Sorry about the rambling......

Although I was not able to attent these track while they were still open I have done my rounds at THE BROTHERHOOD (long beach) aka terminal island ....upset alot of people there. When I worked for NOS we would go and test a 13.50 second 91 escort gt with a garret to4 turbo and 80 shot of nitrous..hehehe.
It was at that time hard to imagine the potential these imoprts had. So we began (I began) to street race the little white car the whistled when it worked. Only cars I lost to were a 1986 ford mustang with a 150 shot of nitrous with a built motor and a 1989 porsche 930 turbo (my friends) with an additional kkk turbocharger. Needless to say...The race with the mustang was a close one..he didnt think he would have to run that hard to play catch up, the porsche hahaha no competition...blew me away from the get go and kept pullin.
well...I hope to hear good results from you and the chip...
