Angry on the road 4 days n blew up the motor

i just got my truck on the road and i was running it hard of course but the damn thing decided to blow up y i dont know yet im in the process of pulling the motor but the is a 2 inch diameter hole in the block so im pretty sure the block i wasted. ne 1 know a good and cheap short block supplyer (im 18 n in high school i dont have to much $) and i dont need loads of horse power just dont want it to blow up again so leave a message on ideas

I have a 01 5.4 with less than 50,000 miles on it for sale. Complete motor intake to oil pan. Nothing wrong with it I just upgraded.

Real sorry to hear it wcroft987
I know you said you dont need too much power but to do a motor and not upgrade those tooth picks we call stock rods would be crazy. Unfortunately it's not going to be a cheap, and you have to make the decision on if your only buying a short block, or a complete Long Block. I'm at work and dont have the links handy but all our big vendors / tuners can help you.

You need to simply make a few calls and get price and availability. JDM, JLP, and LFP usually have them in stock ready to go, PSP builds them specific for your set up.

Another option is to buy a complete used Lightning motor and just drop it in and be back on the road in no time. Rich (Hostile) is ready to sell his to make room for a built motor

What you want for the engine? No supercharger?

Thanks,

I'm feeling generous how's 800 sound. I'm really just tired of moving it around my garage.
