Not to sound mean or anything...but I'd think that 380 #'s isn't helping either.

LOL! The SRT10 is the only vehicle he has ever had that he has had to move the seat forward to reach the pedals! There is alot more room in them than our Lightnings. I weigh 205 and his thighs are bigger than my waist. Funny thing is,he's not really fat, just a big dude!
I told him I could shave a couple tenth's of his times by getting his big **** out of it!

Good friend of mine went 12.8@106 bone stock in his SRT10, last week actually.

Again, these trucks aren't slow at all, esp from a roll, they are just on 22's and most people can't launch them.

No rear end weight + steep gears = NO TRACTION.

There is no way on gods green earth that a truck with that much torque and 4.10's is bogging off the line from not having enough gear. If it bogs it is because he is not winding it up enough before the launch. I gaurentee you his 60's are high because he is spinning not bogging.
I agree. I am an amature at the strip so that plays a big part in my (lack of) performance (hopefully I can do better in the L). My '98 with the 4.6, 5-speed and Eaton M90 would just sit and spin launching at anything above 2300rpm. That had 3.55's, limited slip. That SRT10 cannot be bogging. I think even if he launched off idel he would still break them loose.

I will respect an SRT-10 especially if it is sprayed. I call that reponding well to mods...He sprayed me @ a light and left me like a red headed step child, and my truck is no slouch @ 443HP and 539TQ. At that time I was only a one wheel wonder, but it was a sight to see 600 and 850TQ take off... I gave him props and we drank beers laughing about it!

His viper is another story all together...That **** can flat out move, and pimp the biatches unlike any other car. We went to hooters and it was like my L did not exist when his viper was parked next to it!
My gosh dude, I think you have the milk mustache, but you weren't drinking milk.

I haven't had the chance to run one on the street, but I have always said, I bet they are NASTY from a roll. With that big engine and the stick, I'll bet they will put a hurtin' on a lightly modded L. They are just not set up for actual drag racing like the L is.

My buddy's pulls like a freight train mid range to top end. I was impressed, but with the long tubes and cat delete,it sounds like a pissed off bumble bee! Him or I either one havent gotten use to the sound yet,he hates it,but I kinda like it. He's nice enough to let me drive it when ever I want, and it is a blast to drive. I hate to admit it,but they are alot nicer inside than our Lightnings.:o (Did I just say that???)

There was a srt-10 last year at the track, There were 5 of us lightnings, we were all trying to line up against him. He was running high 13,s low 14's. It was stock. I do not rember the trap speeds.the lightnings whipped his ***.

I do agree with skank dog they are nice inside. The owner of the srt-10 was a pleasant fellow and let me check out the truck. It was a black 2 door stick.

He called last night and is having a head and cam package installed next week along with a 200 shot fogger system! Gonna run him about 5k,but money is no object to him. (must be nice hu?) Guess I better start doing a few more mods myself, cant have a dodge out gunnin' me...............
When he gets it finished,we are headed for the track and Ill be sure to video it and post it here. Sure would be nice to have a JDM long block and whipple about now.
