I have been running mine for over a year and it works perfectly...The Mesh is Stainless Steel wool

Just bought one of these to replace the home depot setup. awesome machine work. this just goes inline to replace this, correct ? i assume the setup is the same - PCV valve->hose to catch can->hose to upper plenum right at IAC valve, etc.

are you running a check valve like instructions say, to prevent overpressure from intake going back into can ? personally, don't think it's necessary

any info would be appreciated

I too have been trying to find out if anyone is using a check valve and if so what type.

Tampa - The AMW is packed with about 2 inches of steal wool mesh. It is doing a fantastic job of stopping the oil laden air from getting into the plenum.
Then it probably works great. Mine has around 6 heavyduty steel pads inside.

Whatever you do don't use the crap plastic hose that comes with most catch cans. I found a steel spiral reinforced hose that works great.

Man! That's a real killer catch can. It probably could withstand a direct hit nuclear strike. Nice.
