Cool

TVW,
About 3 weeks ago 10 to 15 list members took a tour of the entire Edelbrock plant, including the IAS shock plant. I wouldn't hesitate to let them "borrow" your truck for a week. You will most likely get a free set of shocks out of it. If your still concerned about leaving it w/ them, jot down your mileage and note now clean the real fender wells look. When you see the Edelbrock "FUN TEAM" ask to speak with Camee Edelbrock and tell her Darin and Susan said hello.

Drop me a line at lmaox10@hotmail.com I also live in San Diego (Bonita area)

F&B's

I have a video from the Edelbrock tour explaining how the shocks are made/tested There is also some cool road tests. You can borrow this if you want

Post Edelbrock wants my L

Edelbrock in L.A. wants to borrow my L for a week to do research on an IAS performer shock application for Lightnings. Has anyone done this sort of thing before with advice to offer? I'm inclined to do it because everywhere I've checked so far I haven't been able to find a 2kL shock application that targets the bounciness, but I'm worried about getting the truck back in, ah, less than pristine shape.

Edelbrock is starting the research Monday. I'll be dropping the truck off Saturday at their Dominguez Way facility in Torrance, Ca. around noon. They're giving me a darkside loaner, a Z28 Camaro. Hm. Anyway, they'll have the truck for two weeks or so. Dunno if I can hold out that long without boost. I'll publish what I can on results of research & how the whole business pans out later.

tvw, I would be very interested in any shock they could produce to improve on the harsh L ride. Other than that I like everything about my new truck. It would also make a real statement in the marketplace if they offered a lifetime waranty on their shocks like Bilstein. It would give me confidence to buy their product inspite of some of the negative comments I have read on this board. Please post your findings, I am very interested. Thanks!
