Quick question-- Do you still run the single edelbrock # 5512 MUFFLER. If so would you recommend it. If you can help! Thanks Don

Thumbs up

DonH:

Yes I do and a couple of the other HALO club members have it also. Nice sound, soft and mello under normal conditions, loud under full load. Does not make a lot of cab noise with windows up.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will assume besides the sound quality the power was not affected. Thanks AGAIN DON

I just installed the 5512 on my truck this week. Sounds great, but not too loud. Perfect mix. I'll see how it runs this weekend but since it flows more than the stock unit it can't be detramental. Since its 2" shorter than the stock unit some mods are required. We removed the old muffler and cut the forward bracket that holds the front exhaust together and mounted there. We took what remained put in vice heated up and beat the tips off. Made new exhaust pipes installed tips, welded together, and then welded the hangers back on. First classs job done by Bumberas performance here in Houston. Runs great, Sounds great. LSR Friday nite.

Hey Noel, did you put the little screw on chrome tips like mine has? I know how much you like them. Just kidding, I actually took them off and tried to clean the stock pipe, but it was not possible. Had to put the cool tips back on, I guess til I get the Bassani. I better start saving some money.
