Just woundering if any one knows how many Lightning were exported, if any? Do those Lightnings come out of the 5000, or is there an additional production run. What is different about them?

 

I know of 1, J.R. Salas, I think, I might have misspelled his name, but he is in the phillipenes. I think I messpelled the country, too.

 

Tundra is correct, and did misspell some stuff too.
Salas has one and "FordSales" indicated he is sending another one to the the Philippines as well, somewhere in the South part.
There is a Brit that has posted here recently, so must be one in the UK as well.
I am almost positive I saw a posting from a German fellow on another board that also has one.

My understanding is that in all cases, these are "private" imports and that FMC has no desire to see them sold outside the US/Canada region due to warranty and parts supply issues.

Final answer is, we got em all, and where they go from here is up to individual purchasers. And, bet on seeing them in Mexico, Sweden, Holland and a few other countries before too long.

Apparently two Lightning owners, one in Germany and another in England, are members of this Board. Having spent some time in both Germany and England, I would think a Lightning would have to be quite special. Probably freaks out a lot of Germans and Brits. Plus, Europe is so small you can drive through a number of countries in one day.

This is Jesus Romero Salas just changed my username but for the info I got the 99 lightning here in the Philippines and there are 5 more units on the way I got a 2000 for a costumer of mine I wanted to change mine to the 2000 but no takers so sold the 2000 to a friend 2 of those units are going to the south province and the rest are here in the main city
