Finally, after all this time, I had a real race today. On the way home today came across a WS6 Firebird... We were in traffic so nothing was going to happen, but down a ways on this highway breaks into 6 lanes for a stretch of 2 or 3 miles, which makes it a "prime race" stretch around our area. (Also the fact that its walled on both sides, so no speed traps)

Before we got to the stretch, I was behind him at one point and he had taken off a little "waving" to me from his t-top...hah, wasn't going to let that happen, so I kept up about 3 car lengths down...being in traffic, we didn't do much.

I got around him normally and when we hit the clearing of the 6-lane area, it was on. We were pretty much dead even, me being 1 car length ahead because I took off first, up until around 120 or so. At that point, he started to take me and probably would have, had we not quit because more traffic was up ahead...

Cruised for another 1/2mi or so until my exit, gave him the piece sign and he returned the favor and came on home.

Was nice. I've put 2600mi on my truck and never had anyone want to try to run with it yet...well, this one 1500 once, but well, it WAS a 1500, so there wasn't much to that.

WS6 T-top is a nice looking car...had alot of kick too.

Atleast you got the peace sign, i always get the other sign with just 1 finger,strange. Oh goos kill

 

fun, sounds like a race I had with a Camaro SS. We were side by side at 135, and he rolled down his window as we slowed. Couldnt hear what he said but it was either
"Nice truck"
or
"What the *******k"

 

Yeah, I like when the other driver ackowledges that it was a fun race... I'm not one for flippin off the people I race against.

It was rather exciting...can't wait to get my intake and chip.
