I have a JDM long block, actually I bet I have one his oldest motors. This will be my 4th year racing with this same motor.
Okay, so let me get this right.... You bought a JDM long block, and then JJ allegedly spread rumors that your JDM long block did not have Manley H-Beam rods. So you spent $100 to make sure that you actually had Manley H-Beam rods in your JDM engine??? That makes absolutely no sense. Why in the world would you be so concerned about what someone else is saying about your engine if they didn't even build it? You get no sympathy for wasting $100 for no reason except for what someone supposedly said. That was just stupid.

JJ was a dealer of JDM products when my engine got built. When JJ and Jim split ways, thats right about the time he started the rumor. I spent a lot of money on my motor, and then when JJ started that rumor after splitting with JDM, of cource I was concerned, I am sure you would be concerned too if you were in my place, and the same thing happened to you. So yes I paid someone 100 bucks to check my motor and ease my mind.

I don't need your sympathy, but you asked me what my beef was with JJ so I told you.

Its a long story...but JJ supposedly knew someone that saw the engine and claimed Jim lied and was using stock rods. This was back before anyone really built "built" engines for our trucks. JDM was lightyears ahead of the game and had custom made rods to his specs as he still does...only now others can get manly rods too. He had good reason to worry, but should have never doubted Jim. I don't blame Don for being concerned.

JJ's in house engine is NOT machined by the company who does the machining for Johnny. The motors do not go through johnny at all.

He will install one of johnny's motors though.

Hey Don, that's not real racing fuel you have in your tank... you should drain the whole system and make sure. just kidding there Don.

C'mon people, lets use a little common sense!

I'd gladly pay $100 for peace of mind, especially when you have thousands invested.
