is anyone running this new air box? Deos it add to blower whine? Your opinons would go with this one or JLP air box?
Thanks for your input.

Thumbs up

Just received my ramair set up from Chickenears. The finish and quality is outstanding, the scoop is an amazing piece. I looked into all the others and this one was the best IMO. Still have a brand new PSP cone filter kit. Never used once I saw the Chickenears kit I knew which I was going to use! Hope this is of some help to you Artie

It does make the whine a bit louder. I have the cool-aid, ftvb, CB, and high flow cats, and I see 9-10 lbs of boost

Just installed the Cool Aid system last weekend, have not had a chance to drive the truck yet. Finishing the install of the TVS system today, and alignment tomarrow, so, maybe later this week, weather permitting. I agree with Artie54, the Cool Aid system is a very nice system, and Tim at Chickenears is great to deal with.

well this is a little weird, i just bought my 2001 Lightning, same year as yours, had this SAME exact question in my head, and my name is Sean also..... kinda twilight zone-ish. But right now I think I might go with the chickenears stage 2, which is the intake for under the bumper and the JLP intake. total price for both is around $385.

Unless someone could convince me to go another way for the intake, it looks like that is the route I will take,

I have the chikenears "cool-aid" air kit. I didn't notice any louder but it's really an A#1 kit. I would highly recommend it....JR
