Tubes or no tubes

ok, I am ordering my MT ET street bias plys and dont know if I should do tubes. I will drive them on the street from time to time, but main use will be track. They weigh 6lbs each and cost darn near $60 each. I have had people tell me I dont want tubes for street use as they will heat up. So now I am lost. anyone else use tubes or recommend/not recommend them?

I use tubes in my slicks. I had to because the screws allow air leaks and I got tired of having to put air in my tires a dozen times a weekend when running in FFW.

If your not putting screws in your wheels to hold the tire in place(only needed if making 500 HP or more), I would not use tubes.

Im only gonna be in the 430-440rwhp neighborhood (or so I hope). I think I will go without. Worse that can happen is I decide I need them and get them later.

a tire can still spin on the rim at stock hp levels. if you decide to run tubes you'll need to put screws in the rims. i ripped out both valve stems on my tubes because i didn't screw them. another $120 later
