What is your average mpg?
Only have 1200 miles on the L, but averaging <12 in city, almost 14 on highway. But who cares!!

If gas mileage is a concern, the L should not be considered as a daily driver.
If an enjoyable driving experience is what one is looking for, then gas mileage should never even enter the mind.
After 5 days with this truck and the enjoyment it has given me, I have not even given a thought to miles per gallon. FPG (FUN PER GALLON) is likely as high as any vehicle ever produced. Just my .02 cents.

i did not buy this truck for gas mileage...
just a few observations--------i am going to take my lightning back to the dealer my lightning has a hole in the fuel tank=always empty.
MY fuel mileage is like flushing the toilete in the bathroom ,,,it waste gas..
i would still buy another one

I have been seeing between 15.5 and 16.0 city/highway combined. That includes a night or two of cruising the strip downtown.
Will be taking a trip down south in june. I am anxious to see what I will get on total highway driving.

Like most of you I really don't care what it is but for some goofy reason I've tracked it religiously since the first tank. After 5000 miles it's averaged 12 mpg during combined hi-way/city commute to work. Actually my wife gets worse mileage. I keep telling her to make sure she has it pointed straight ahead before she "drills" it. So far she's managed to keep the 'shiny side up'

The milage in my L (yet to arrive) can't be any worse than my boat. Burning 20 gallons an hour in a boat gets you used to seeing the gas pump. It works out to about a mile to the gallon in the boat. So 12 to 15 in an L will be easy to take.
The cost of gas usually ends up being the cheapest expense for any kind of toy you drive.

Question: "How's it on gas"?
Response: "Absolutely loves it".
Used this response at almost every fill-up since purchasing the L.
