Cobra R 5.4L engine...any parts for us?
With the new 5.4L Cobra R, I am wondering if there will be some crossover tech for us L owners. Without getting into serious messes like engine swaps, I'm thinking more along the lines of heads.
Will there be the same problems as the navigator heads of incompatible intakes? Also, would the Cobra R heads tend to change the compression too much?
Along the same lines, I know that Sean Hyland Motorsports did some work with standard 5.4 blocks and 4v 4.6L heads. Anyone got any clues to this type of thing?
I am thinking that the 5.4L Cobra R engine (at close to 400 hp NA) could really rock with a few mods and some forced induction.

THe short answer is no. The L engine is pretty much purpose built for the supercharger, and playing with it wouldn't be pretty.
Also, the R engine is purpose built, so it's not a good source for swapping, either...
