Finally!! and none too soon. I expect to see you this Friday at Firebird. I picked mine up on a Tuesday also and ran it at Firebird w/250 miles on it, so you should too! j/k, I know you don't plan to run, but you must show it off Friday!
Just out of curiosity, how many miles were on it when you picked it up?

 

It had 22 miles.

It was weird. I'm sitting in the office waiting to complete the paperwork, and I see one of the lot attendants drive it off. They don't have premium gas at the dealership, so he had to go to the gas station. I almost ran out there to tell him not to worry about it!

No can do on Friday. It's my birthday, and my girlfriend is taking ME out this time. I somehow don't think Firebird is her idea of an ideal date. Next weekend we're running down to Rocky Point. I'm going to try to make it to the Pavillions on Saturday though.

 

Sorry to hear that you won't make it. You would be surprised how girls are when they go to Firebird and other girls are there. Last time I went w/my wife, one of my co-workers went and brought his wife, they both had such a great time, they didn't want to go home! Well, happy B-day, think of the L as the gift to yourself.

Pavillions this Saturday or the 29th? I can probably attend either or both.

 

This Saturday. I'm going to have to break Adrienne in slow. :-) Actually I mentioned how I was going to go out there one of these days and she said she wants to run my truck!

 

Well it’s finally happened. I’ve been waiting since September for this day, and it was worth it. I picked up my Silver (the new fastest color) Lightning last night. The hardest part of the wait was the last week and a half. Knowing the truck was at the dealership and not being able to get it.

My first impression is it doesn’t handle like the Cobra did. That’s not a knock, as this IS a truck and I can haul a boat out to the lake with it. It’s just different, and feels like a truck when you drive it. I wouldn’t go back to the Cobra on a bet. I haven’t opened it up yet, but I can already tell at half throttle it’s going to be a kick!

My only concern now is how long is Sal going to make me wait for a chip and filter?
