Has anyone seen any new Lightnings for sale on the West Coast? They all seem to be on Mid West or East Coast dealership lots. Wonder if my dealer could trade for one and just pay for extra shipping or buy it outright. Ordered Dec 28 and getting real sick of waiting. Any help?

 

Sorry, Kevin, the truck I originally ordered is still "clean and unscheduled". What did your dealer tell you about your order number?

Hey, it's only been alittle over three months, thats not too bad yet. I got mine in exactly 3 months, I thought that was pretty good. Hang in there---its well worth the wait.

I know for a fact that the dealership that I ordered my Silver one from has a Red and Black one in their lot.

I decided to just wait for a Silver one instead.

KGM - I ordered my 2000L 2 months ago from a dealer in So. Cal. They gave me a 4/17 build date + shipping time of no more than 10 days. In the mean time, I got a call last week from Antelope Valley Ford (Palmdale or Lancaster area) saying they have a 2000L in white just sitting there waiting for someone to buy. They are only 3 hours from Las Vegas. If your interested ask for Randy 661-949-3586 ext.277.

We ran a batch of transmissions for them Tuesday, so judgeing by past experience, they'll be building a batch on Friday-Monday.

It will be (again from past occurances) build numbers 2250 - about 2400.
Also, special bonus points!!!!
I worked on about 50 transmissions for Lightnings in the past week, and just out of curiosity I signed the oil pans on them as they were buttoned up. So, if anyone wants to look, Just above the Ford Oval on the pan, (imagine it upside down, that's how they are when I get them..) In Green "junkyard pen" Green ink or black magic marker ink, look for a G and the rest is pretty much unreadable ( I was kicked out of medical school for poor penmanship, it's that bad). Let me know if you get one, and I'll try to wrestle up a free Ontario Rocket Sled Racing Team t shirt for ya!!!

call tuttle click ford.tustin,ca. they have a white 2000L. Also you might want to try kearny mesa ford in san diego, ask for rick culver in fleet..he will take care of you and I know he has some there.
