actually there is no 2007 Shelby Cobra, the Cobra name was dropped for GT500.
They would not have SVT on the car, but the parts are already all made so it'll still say SVT on the wheel center caps.

Unique performance makes stuff that few if any of us will be able to afford

Even if we wanted to

the cobras they make are junk mustangs that are bondoed all to heck and sold for over $200k

here is picture of donor car in thier shop

Its tough to tell by the picture just how nasty the body is ...

The unique performance shop is one town south of here - more pictures from a car show they had in 2004

WTF is with the Shelby-bashing? The man has probably forgotten more about performance vehicles than any of us will ever know. This isn't the first time Ford has subbed their performance vehicles to outside marques. It's obvious Ford is concentrating on becoming "green". It sucks, but hardly Shelby's doing. You Shelby haters are already green....with envy.

I dont hate shelby

I do hate the fact that he is whoring his brand out to an over priced reproduction shop. Shelby started out racing then turned to making original cars for the racer in all of us. Now he is simply pimping his name to cars that have NO connection to the legacy and are so over priced that only the richest can afford them.
Other features include an upgraded interior, featuring premium sound, custom seats and distinctive Shelby badges. Each truck will carry a Shelby serial number and be submitted to the Shelby American Automobile Club for their registry.
The "shelby registry " has become a travesty. Im waitiing for him to start selling shelby golf carts and shelby coffe mugs all submitted to the shelby registry

What's the big deal with SVT?

FORD made the GEN 1 Lightning
Roush did the suspension on the Gen 2 lightning and some of the engine work.
Roush and Saleen worked on the Cobra mustang.

Personally, I'd rather drive something with SHELBY plates on it, than SVT plates.
People need to come to the realization that there will be no gen 3 lightning. at least not based on the current platform. If, in the future, Ford decides to resurrect the Lightning, it will most likely be a shelby.

If ya'll are waiting for the Gen 3, you might as well look at the Saleen F-150.

You're missing the point. I agree with Doug. "Shelby" has become overpriced, underperforming, bloated status symbols, with no real value aside from his name attached to them. The shelby that made performance cars for enthusiats is long gone. He's doing more harm than good now.

The reason I can't stand Shelby now is because he hasn't put a decent effort into any car since the 60s. He is all about the money now.

It is unfortunate that the Lightning is dead but that Adrenaline was gawd ugly. I am curious to see the weight of this thing and if it can be modded to make better power cheap. But you can be sure that it will carry a hefty price tag.
