Question personalized plate

Got call from Auto Club today informing me that my personalized plates have arrived, come pick them up. A few of you may recall that I ordered HAULS A. Since getting my speeding ticket I am a little fearful of putting on a plate that might be a cop magnet. The plates I was issued are 6F33699, which I kind of like, too. If I use them then I lose the $90 I paid for the personals. Any advice or opinions, especially from the law enforcement contingent?

Put them on, and just don't drive faster then the flow of traffic. I ordered CA plates reading 'DRV FAST'...not worried too much about cops

I have "SVT 2 GO" and haven't had a cop problem yet...

Cops love cool trucks..

Ok well most cops anyway..

In all my years, I never stopped a car due to its plates. It was the actions of the driver........of course, when you get a speeding ticket and then take it to court, the officer might have a bit of fun at your expense when he points out to the judge what your plate says.......Good luck !

Hehe I would suggest you not drive like a jerk, AKA like me and you won't have a problem. I have yet to be pulled over by a cop because my tags say *I8URCHV* and the cruisers here are all Caprices with a few statey Camaros thrown in. HEHE

I agree with mswaim. Never stopped anyone based on a plate, but it wouldn't go well in court if you got a ticket.

Thumbs up

Alpha,

My plate on my "L" is "Indy F1." I live in Indy so i get alot of thumbs up combined with some funny looks from unsuspecting drivers that try to scof at me for having such a plate on a truck until they see the badge on the fender or the front (but not for long). It is quite secured to its mounts too (tack welded the nuts and bolts together).

I'm sure the "Euro's" coming in town for the USGP in september will submit open bids for it. I renewed it for 2K and they stamped me a new one. what a bargain. still a tough decision though.

Another idea had stems from being an old KISS fan, a plate with "Shock Me."

See ya at the apex,

Speedinbob

Glad you picked up your personalized plates, they look great. I agree with mswain that the plates are the very last thing that the officers are looking at when they decide to stop you. If you find someone with a sense of humor, (Yes, they exist), the officer may give you the benefit of doubt! (The officers that have been around awile utilize humor as a stress reducer!) Give them something to be amused about!
