when i race my 00 L do i leave the OD on or turn it off? ive herd mixed feelings about it and i honestly dont know im used to driving my stealth wich is a 5spd?

they guy that told me to take turn it off says that it will blow the trans if i leave it on something about when it shifts into OD it will have to much impact or something..

any tips would be great

 

I have always heard to turn the OD off.

 

Turn it off. I don't have any info on blowing the trans., but you don't want to accidently shift into 4th. It'll probably slow your time.

what speed does 3rd gear get up to? i have only done it once since owning my l and i could of swore i was near redline and i was only going about 90 (i could be wrong)

 

I trapped 118mph in the quarter on Nitto's, not sure what my rpm was(??) I think it was around 5200. Guy's that start running out of rpm's usually step up to a taller slick.
