What would be cool is if people could plan a time to all go on the same day. I could use some advice from some of the more experianced drivers.

Is test and tune on Wed. nights only or do they have some on Sat. morning also?

 

I would rather go on the weekend becuase I dont get out of work untill 2:00. Sat would be the best...

 

I agree the weekend seems like a better time to get a better turn out.

 

It used to be most wed. nights. Then depending on how big the event on sat. was they would run T+T as well. I've gone on some saturdays where I packed up and left for home at 2. However I haven't been there in the 3 years I've owned the L. Just do some research before you drive all the way up there. You gotta check the schedule.

what a GREAT place to race

run by the RACERS untill mr fitts passed away

went to developers for condos...

failed the perc test

and to this day nothing has happened with the land...except the tower was taken down way back when...

anyone remember one of the best places?

no lights ...when the sun went down..that was it!

i actually got hit from a front engine dragster in the waterbox there one sunday..it was backing up ..AFTER staging...

but whatever

i remember "mountian motor" pro-stocks racing there

dyno don...grumpy..wally balchunas??(he actually won one of those in a fairmont)

me and louie raced there every sunday 'till closing

FIRST track with the "concrete launch pad" in the northeast

Agent we will all have to get together one saturday and beat up the pick for a few hours...

 

We should all hit up Hooters on the pike one weekend. Maybe start a Connecticut Lightning Owners Club like alot of other states have. Go to the track together and stuff. Just an idea....

 

Im all for it black svt sounds good to me.....Zapster I was just talking to my old man and he used to race ct dragway every weekend... He said Frank Merado used to own it the same guy who owns harbor park in middletown and has the car shows in hartford.... My father said they use the track for consumer report testing and stuff like that now.. They are thinking of beinging it back Mohegan Suns will fund the entire thing but we need more people to sign the petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/JayHass/..... Every one must sign in order to have any chance.
