How many aggies does it take?
Well, there we were at the Sonic for Bergers & Fries and one of our poor L owners wss driving his L with no blower hooked up. Seems he had attempted to remove his none factory pulley so he could go in for his intercooler leak problem. (didn't want a discussion about the pulley don't you see). Welllll, he couldn't get it to budge with a puller. Tried cutting it with a grinder and had two big cuts but grinder wheel bottomed out on its shaft before it cut through.
Well, I don't know about aggies but it took four L owners and a can of aggie puky (Liquid Wrench for you yankees) about an hour and a half. Finally with so much tension on the pulley that the back bar of the puller was bent and but shafts were bent some "Light" taping on the back of the pulley with a universal metric wrench (cresent) and it popped. Finally got it off. Ruined pulley and puller.
Installed new (old) ford pulley. NOW!!!!!
How many aggies does it take to install a blower belt? Well I don't know but it took four and one wife who mostly laughed!!!!!!
Duck, you should have been there. Doesn't everybody do their mods at the Sonic?????????

I always take my L to the Sonic for warranty work. They have the best tools and all the proper equipment.
I can't believe y'all didn't think to grease up the pulley with burger grease (corn dogs make great applicators for this) to help slip the pulley off. I know it usually makes everything slide right through me.
Right now, I am running choclate shake as oil. I tried vanilla, but it was too thin...no viscosity. The chocolate seems to works like a charm. (I'll keep ya posted as to my strawberry tests). Plus, cherry lime aide makes a great racing fuel....too good for use on street, tho. Just sucks b/c it runs about $6 a gallon, and the damn cherries keep clogging up my injectors. I'll see if Sal can come up with some sort of filter for this and will let you know. Lime slush works great as intercooler fluid, too. Gets the air super cold (tastes good to boot!).
Quit worring about finding the right belt size. Get the Sonic techs to fry you up one big a$$ onion ring and "go to town." Just make sure they give you the 8 ribbed onion ring instead of the 5...this will cause major problems if you don't. I have over 600 miles on my onion and haven't had any problems, yet. I think there must be something super strong in that batter. After eating one (all I could handle
)a while back I figured "Hell, if it can last 3 weeks in my stomach it should go for years on my L." Turns out I may actually be right (for a change).
I also think I have the cause of the intercooler leak. While doing routine maintenance I found a damn tater tot running around loose in my block. I took the sucker out and bam, no more leak. Y'all might want to check this out. Them tots is pesky critters.
I think it is covered by warranty, too. If Ford gives you flack, see the post entitled "Runaway Tots" on www.duckisfullofBS.com and print it out. They won't be able to argue with hard evidence.
If you have any questions regarding your L and the use of foodstuffs as standard equipment, feel free to shoot me an email or contact your local Sonic. Either of us will be glad to assist.

Seriously, I'm sorry I couldn't make it to this BNF nite, either.
I have a 2 papers to write for Monday, 3 quizzes this week, and a test in my "Nonmetallic Materials" class on Thursday. Oh well, only 4 more weeks to summer which means 3 months of doing nothing but driving my L! I promise I'll catch y'all after finals are over(May 10).
Please keep the family of Second Lt. Clay Kennedy in your prayers. The Lord took him in the recent Osprey crash. He was Aggie Band commander during the 1997-8 school year and a damn good American. All I can say is he was a great guy who will be sorely missed by all of us Ags.

Since the pulley change went so well, I think I would like mine done at the Sonic. I checked around and don't think I can beat the hourly rate L owners charge each other. Still got plenty of the Aggie puky. Can't wait until it's my turn.

Hey Duck,
After reading your post again I have decided that college, for you, is a complete waste of time. Quit Now. While I'm trying to figure out what you are best suited for read all the Hunter Thompson books you can get your hands on. I will come up with something soon.
My prayers are with your friend. America continues to give the cream of her manhood to protect this great country of ours. Meanwhile the dregs and draftdoggers run for the presidency.

Hey! Even though 99SVT was there with his "White" Lightning he still had the FASTEST White Lightning in a 60 foot run. Man that thing could move, went 60 feet in 1.47 sec. Thats one for the record book. I have never seen a Lightning hook up like that thing could, and his blower belt was off!
