Quick question- Can you remove the deflector if you need to wax the hood or just want it off. Is it easy on - easy off. Thank Don

Its held in place with some two way tape and has optional screw (#6 machine) that go in the bottom under the hood. As I occassionaly push the envelope to the outer edge (140) I opted for the screws as insurance. Actually the screws are great because if you take it off you will know exactly where to put it back. As I used a paint sealant (prolong) I will probably take mine off once a year to wax. I will use new machine screws each time not the old ones. If you look at my second picture you can see how it almost disappears in the picture. I love it.
It is not hard to remove, just take out the 5 or 6 screws and gently pull away from underside of hood. When putting back if you use the screws I will use the old tape. If you don't use the screws I would replace the tape.

I can answer this because I just ordered one exactly like Noels. It doesnt require screws for install, just use supplied 3-m type adhesive tape. But Noel used screws and tape. Now to answer your question, if you were to use only the screws to install, without useing the tape it would be very simple to remove. It is all done on the inside or bottom side of the hood so its not visible. I dont think you can get it off if the adhesive tape is used though. Noel, correct me if I am wrong. Hope this helps.

Caka you might be right. I have never tried to take it off. if I have a hard time I will put it back with onesided tape ( to keep the coushing affect) and rely on the screws. At 140 I trust the screws.
