Post Timing

Drove home today with my scanner hooked up . So I could watch timing with chip on and off. Max advance in stock mode was 38(saw on desel). Max saw in performance mode was 50(too much). Holdind at stop light at 1000rpm,stock was 23,per was at 33-34, both at same throle opening. At wot under boost stock was 11-15,per was 23-25. At cruise 50ish with steady throtle, stock was 33-37, per was 45-50. On tip in stock was 33-36 and drop to 26ish. Per on tip in was 45-49 and then drop 37-43. I looked at alot of speeds and would change from one to the other at same throtle angle to see difference. Performance was 10 or more above stock settings. I think that in higher gears that engine does not need so much timing under vacume. Will posily cause problem with rings or pistons sonner ro latter. What do you guys think ?

Tip in is when a give more gas to take off or to accel when driving. Like running 55 and tip in on throtle to speed up to pass or if 55 is to slow .

That chip that you are using Will, is one that is a few calibrations old. I have revised the timing for less tip in ping as well as more WOT power since that calibration. If you had a the new version, you'd feel the difference.
