Front End Clunk - One More Time
I am taking my L in for service on Friday as the dreaded front end clunk has reappeared - on my last visit they just applied plenty of lubricant but after 1,000 miles the pop is back.
I have searched the numerous postings on the subject and have seen many references to cam bolt kits and replacement lower control arms. My question is - does anyone know whether a Technical Service Bulletin exists and if so what the reference number is?

NJBOLT,
Can't help you out on the service bulletin but, I had the same problem and I took some star washers and installed them behind the head of the bolt and behind the nut of the lower a arm rear bolt (you can see where the bolt has been sliding in the hole) and tightned the heck out of it and no more movement and no more clunk. Hope this helps.
Brian
PS I did this myself and it took about 15 minutes.
