I'm dynoing my 6lb soon and after this post will probably swap back to the 4lb at the end of summer when it starts getting colder.

That is a "kickdown"! Yes! But, it doesn't kick down to the next gear...like third..but, kicks down to 2nd gear!

Im still a firm believer that Lightnings need knock sensors.

We have them in the S/C 3800 GM cars (Grand prix gtp, regal GS) and we count on them all the time due to having no intercooler from the factory. We have the ability to see how much knock retard we are getting and take appropriate steps to get it down to 0 via tuning and supporting mods.
