Question ftvb, chip?

i have a stock 99 L and was wondering if i can put the ftvb without any mods to the chip or having to get a new chip? i do plan on getting a chip but am confused on what to get, do i just order one from vendor and put it in or do i have to take it to get tuned? how much does a tune usually run? also can i put the basani exhaust on without a chip tune?

Mods that Don't require a chip:
FTVB
Exhaust, Full from headers to exhaust tip. (unless you delete the rear O2's)
E-Fan
Aftermarket water pump
traction bars
ported upper intake
ported lower intake
CAI
Different spark plugs
"Swanson Kit"
oil seperator
power pipe
suspension mods
Roll bar/cage
Cosmetic upgrades

Mods that require a chip: (perferably a dyno tune)
built engine
heads
aftermarket s/c
ported eaton s/c
90mm MAF on 99 L's
Any size lower pulley or upper pulley
Removing PCV and putting filters on there.
rear end gear change (shift points and speedo calibration)
Nitrous

off the top of my head, others feel free to add to the list

the only thing the bassani or any Cat back will do is change the tone of the exhaust. Unlikely a cat back will add any power at all. The bottleneck is the 4 catalytic convertors, and the stock exhaust manifolds, which is the same part as the regular 5.4 (un-supercharged)
