Thumbs down Advice to all about dads driving lightnings

Well I am at school today and I come home and I had let my dad take the lightning today my 30k truck that i payed for, well he comes home I ask how it was and says he backed into something. I thought he was kidding because he bs's me all the time. Well I go out to the truck and there is a huge gouge in the pass. side tail gate from FORD emblem all the way to the top and a chunk of paint missing next to the tail light. Now it looks like shi* and only has 450 miles on it. FYI don't let your dads drive your truck unless your with him.

Backed into something or did he fishtail it and slide into something? You know how dads are, they think they can still do what they use to do, instead of taking all day to do what they think they can.

Reminds me of the former principal of the high school I attended. Seems his son bought a new car and let dad(principal) take it for a drive. He gets out on the street and starts roddin the p1ss out of it. His son gets all riled up and says:"What the hell are you doing to my new car?!?" Father says: "Same thing you used to do to mine."

Sorry to hear about your 'L EJ, but it reminds me of the saying "may parents live long enough to become a problem for their kids"

Remember it's nothing a little paint and aggrevation can't fix.

Sorry about the L, but if it happened to me I couldn't say too much. My folk were pretty patient with me when I was smashing things up. My Mom and Dad are the only two people that I would say "oh well, I'll fix it later. Don't worry about it" to.

I`m a Dad so this really isn`t a problem for me. I loaned My son My 93 L and someone backed into it. chipped the paint on the bumper a 1/2" in diameter and bent the end of the bumper inward. I touched it up and bent the bumper back....Spent the $1000.00 that the dudes insurance agent sent me ...not to mention the aditional $100.00 he sent for down time that would have been incurred. The kid was hit almost headon at an intersection in My first 99 Lightning. Have a little sympathy for Dad. Afterall.....
