How long before.......
I recently installed a PSP chip and had almost a half second knocked off my e.t. I was very happy to say the least. But I did notice some slight clattering or detonation at times. Then I filled up with Texaco supreme unleaded and it clattered like a big dog. From 1/4 to full throttle it sounded terrible. Just my luck I ran into a friend with a G-tech and of course we had to test it out. So I kept running my truck hard for about 5 passes through the quarter. I could feel slight loss of power when it starts the clattering. Then I filled up with Exxon supreme and on the way home it just slightly clatterd only in overdrive. I know this is not a good thing, but how dangerous is it? and how long before it damages something? I once burned a hole in a piston in my 1990 f-150 5.0 from pushing it hard while it was doing the same thing. I would hate to do that to mt L. I'm sure if Sal backs the timing off a little on my chip I will be O.K. Any comments or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Caka,
Are you backing off the throttle between 1/4 and full?
I've alwas had a burp burp sound when I've done this. Now I have a custom chip and now it's even more senitive, but never under full (3/4-full) throttle!
Hope this helps.
