Post Let's advertise!

Well, We've got HALO and now MALE, I say we get everyone on the board by getting stickers for the trucks with F150.COM on them so all the Lightning Owners can know thay have as place to go, something small and umobtrusive, a rear window sticker about the size of the assemblypolant stickers that the KC and Norfolk F-150s get at the factory.

Waddaya say everyone?

They have stickers in the online store, but I'm not real fond of the way it looks (too plain), or I'd have one already. I like the look of the logo at the top of the page ALOT better.

Cool

Hey Factory Tech..
Did you get your L yet? I haven't seen a silver one yet and I'm dieing to get a look at one.

I work right down the street from you at the corner of 275 and Mosteller at Valley Asphalt.

I was also wondering if you know my dad, he worked at the Sharonville plant for many years, his name is Bill Beckett. He went out on a medical retirement about 3 years ago.

Any day now man, any day.
Don't know yer dad. We've got to get together, man, do they still do test and tune at edgewater?
they have 2 silvers at Beechmont Ford, I went and looked yesterday, if the salesman would've given me 2 minutes he could have sold one, my FMCC loan is approved allready at King's and I'm sure it could be transferred in about 2 minutes. Guy didn't give me the time of day. His loss.
BTW, did you see the post about the SuperCab non SC "Lightning" that the dealer said was one of only 3 built, not even an SVT dealer.
I've got a used muffler from a '72 Pinto that says it's either Kerry Ford or John Nolan. read the post, it's laughable.

Get back to me, maybe we can get a Cincy Lightning get together going...

Gregg...
I've been to edgewater once this year.. opening day when I ran the bone stock 13.99. I'd love to do it again sometime. I've been waiting on Sals chip and filter before I head out that way... but if you wanna go some friday night even if I don't have my chip and filter I'd still love to go out again.

Edgewater is now open 5:30 to 10:30 on friday nights for test and tune. I'd want to get there on the early side... place fills up fast. If we get there before the gates open we can probably get 3 passes in with out waiting.

I also have a digital camera now so I'd love to get some pics of a couple Ls together.. on the track

I can go either this friday night 7th (if you have your L and want to race it with that few miles on it) or I can go the 21st or 28th. I'll be out of town playing on the quad the weekend of the 14th, so thats about the only weekend I can't go.

And I bet your right about John Nolan Or Kerry Ford, but I'd have to say if I was going to bet my bottom dollar it was Kerry... they are the biggest pack of liars and thieves that I've ever met.

Yeah, Kerry is my first bet. A friend at work went there to get a plugged pan, didn't mention where he worked....
They charge him $35 for the pan and filter (about right) and tack on $24 for the gasket...
now, friend says "Don't they have the reusable gasket?"
Service rep replies, "Yeah, but the deeper pan has a different one, you CAN reuse it if you ever pull the pan again"

So then, friend tells them, "Gee, I better go tell the engineers at Sharonville they've been having me put the wrong gasket on these for 5 years, cause that's what I do and we only have the one"

A classic Dealer with Egg on Face Moment.

Umm...lemme see, assuming it gets here, damn,,,the 14th would be great for me, but ....hell, let's plan on the 28th...
when it get's in, I'll try to stop down yer way and blow the horn...

If you get it next week.. I'm on vacation... I won't be back till the 17th..

I'll plan on test and time on the 28th... Sal just emailed me last night and said my chip and filter were on the way... so it will give me a couple weeks to get used to the new computer and how to get it to launch off the line....

Nice to get another one? Man, cruise the parking lot, their are are 16, yes that's ten plus six in the lot..that counts both shifts, so if you get there at the right time you could possibly see the largest assembled collection anywhere except OTB on the days they build them.

A Plan is a beautiful thing.
