I think people take commercials way too seriously. Like those GMC Sierra commercials about that big '300 hp' v8. Seems like everyone I see driving a Sierra now drives them like they are a sports car.

I actually had a Sierra '2500' try and race me from a stop light. I doubt a 2500 'anything' could beat my 4x4 much less my Lightning.

I think most of them are just having fun, but some actually think they have a chance. Crazy.

Hey Factory_Tech

Did you know that in the original script for Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark, there was a big fight staged between Indi and the all-in-black-knife-whielding-guy ?

The day of the shoot, Harrison Ford was ill from the flu, and during the second take, he just took out the gun and went: "bang !".

The producers and everyone else thought it looked so good, they changed the script.

Okay, I'm gonna do all this in one long post, so bear with me...

1) I did not know that aobut that scene, intersting.

2) MY TRUCK CAME IN TODAY!!!!!
(how much it killed me to hold that back, the world may never know)

3)I had to go to work before they got it prepped, so one more day, (well, from now about 7 hours...)

4) The tradgedy of it is....
I went in, got the keys and looked it over, palstic still on the seats, steering wheel, etc...drove it around the block real quick...parked it outside the service door..
I had specifically asked them not to put on the goofy front plate thingy..(when asked why, I had one answer "Do ya wear a rubber because it's fun, or just when ya have to?" it just came to me...)
Went in, said a few words to the Salesman, called ESC for an A Plan PIN and left out for work...walked through the garage just in time to see some kid drilling holes in the front bumper for the plate bracket....the kid is a dead man i tell ya...I was crushed.

anyhoo let me get to sleep so's I can go get the truck.

You work for Ford and you didn't take the front plate holder and throw it away? I am ssssoooooo disappointed in you. You could use the holes for ram air or fresh air for the intercooler. Well it would be different!

there's a 12sec xcab 2500 series 2000 chevy on the cover of Truck Trends this month.

my 2500 series Dodge is a little faster than that chevy, but i'm a reg cab.

I may get ripped for this but sometimes its fun to kill off these weenies after giving them a head start and only using half throttle. Their exppressions make me crack up every time.

Wow
I used to think the Ranger was fast.

I'm spent.

Well, on the holes I put a Ford Racing tag on it and it don't look too bad. Dealer gave me a Snug Lid Bed Rug combo for $650 installed to make up for the screw up, so I got a bracket I didn't want but a real good deal on the lid...

Well, time to go drive it again....

Thumbs up

I know what you mean Jack. I was riding with FIDO 01 in his 95L a while back and some jacka$$ in a chebby wanted to go from a stoplight. He kept jumping and revving. FIDO and I just kind of laughed, and when the light changed, we let the chebby go. We stayed just at his back bumper for a while playing with him. FIDO finally had his fun and easily pulled along side this guy. I looked over and laughed at the guy as FIDO nailed it and disappeared. To steal from someone on here earlier, "It looked like he just turned off his key."
