Post Grilles Kicked My Butt

WHEW!! Man I am tired. Started the Trenz Grille install today about 3:30 and finished at midnight! After drilling a hole through my hand and putting a nice scratch on my bumper, I have to say it is beautiful. I will take pictures tomorrow, gonna be a good day for cruisin'.

Thanks for all the help. It's much better when you expect it to be difficult. I find it hard to believe that all the F-150s and Expy's on the street with billet grilles went through this, the larger rivets and washers really helped.

Time for some grub . . .

Mike

Tell me about it, I had a hard time fitting that upper grill surround back on in the same position. The billet grille made it taller or something, I'm still not completely satisfied with the fit, I think the surround has more stress on it than before. I've been fortunate to be able to close the hood without too much trouble, I could still use washers to extend the hook, but I'm gonna wait and see how it is with my new ram air hood first. As I said before I can't imagine all the F-150 and Expy's on the street going through all this, is there possibly an easier to install billet grille out there?

I must say this task is not for the timid, and the final adjustments required to make the hood close with an even gap is a pain...
