Whipples, Whipples, Everywhere!!!

We had our second wave of Whipple Superchargers come in here at the shop. Just wanted to let everyone know that we have a few to ship. We have 9 of the 2001 and up black kits. Actually in all we have 17 2300 AX blowers here. 5 2005 mustang saleen blowers, 2 Cobra blower kits, 9 Lightning, and 1 05' F150 kit! Thats alot of boost!!! Anyone with questions on pricing or placing and order can contact us at 732-780-0770 or Sales@teamjdm.com

We are currently building a truck with our engine, the whipple, and everything we think it needs to make around 700 no spray. Ill report to everyone back on this truck here shortly.

Thanks ,

JimIII@JDM

So what makes those 9 kits only applicable on 2001 and up? While I am intrested, I dont have any money right now, but is there a whipple that can go on the 99 and 00?

No, they are not the same. The Whipple has a different mounting plate (where the intercooler is connected to) for the 99/00.

Its the lower manifold assembly actually. The maf wouldnt matter but Id definatley not put an 80mm on with the whipple.

why didn't whipple make them like KB so they could fit all years... That seems kind of dumb... It is a great product that looks sweet too, but that little touch would seem to help them, the seller, and the end user...

actually the 99-00 have the midplate that is different. we found this out on my truck when i got the very first one. during mockup i told them the bolt pattern was different but i forgot the shape of the manifold is different between the two. when i got my unit the bolt pattern was dead on but the front of the midplate was 1/2 an inch too short and you could see into the manifold behind the alt. after talking to dustin and the engineer that built the kits i had a new fixed polished midplate at my door in 2 days.

Also the 99-00 kist come with a 90mm because the intake boot is made for the 90mm and whipple does not make a different boot for the 80mm

I understand the midplate is different, but look at the bolt pattern on the KB's, it is easily taken care of with one blower...

What Spanky says explains it all, so most people will have an extra 90 mm maf to sell on. Should cover most of the 100.00 dollar difference.

BTW I know you had the very first kit. I was referring to getting the first 99/00 kit JDM supplied

35thPony

Whipple replace the midplate. Thats why there are two kits. As you know the KB bolts up using your excisting plate.
