Post Wheel cleaner

What have y'all been using to clean the L's wheels? The dust is beginning to build up especially in the 'lug holes'. I don't want to cook the finish with wheel cleaner as I've seen some posts concerning discoloring and blistering. Thanks for your help

I use Wheel Magic, get it at the auto parts store. Spray it on, let it sit, wash it off with the hose. If ya gotta scrub, then they've never been cleaned before.

I use P21S wheel cleaner. It is a water based formula that won't damage wheels.
It comes in a one liter bottle and is recommended by Mercedes and other German auto companies.

I buy mine from Car Care Specialties 877-796-8300. They are selling P21S for 20% off through April 15 and no I am not affiliated with them.

The Lightning 5-spoke wheels are a lot easier to clean than the 16-small hole wheels on my old Mercedes 300E.

The first thing you need to do to care for these wheels is:

1: Dawn Wash (Dark Blue Dawn Soap) W/Hot water.

2: Claybar (Clay Magic or Z18 Zaino ClayBar) Use some type of car wash soap perferably Z7 Zaino Wash, and Clay all 4 wheels.

3: Polish with Z1(Zaino Polish Lok) & Z2(Zaino Show Polish).

4: All done, Nothing will "ever" stick to those rims again, including brake dust. If they get a little dirty, then take distilled water in a spray bottle, and one capful of Z7 Zaino Car Wash, and spray down/wipe.

I hope that helps. The rims will stay bright, and shiney if you don't use an abrasive/cheap wheel cleaner on them.

Cool

All I ever do is to use a long-handled brush with long, soft bristles (bought it at K-Mart) and a bucket of cool water with a cap of the same car wash soap that I use on the truck. No problem at all. They come clean very easily. Easiest wheels to clean of any vehicle I've ever owned, as a matter of fact. I always clean the wheels first, then dump the dirty water, refill the bucket with fresh water and soap and wash the truck.

Hey Franko

All you need to do is buy a 6-pack Bud Ice, drink 4, **** on each wheel, rinse with 5th beer, let air dry, take 6th beer and go inside and watch the game.

This is what I do. But, I could be wrong.
