For those who have been reading for a while, you don't need to read this. For the others who haven't read all the posts, an experience was had regarding the spare tire.

I just fixed mine up today so as not to be left stranded. I cut a piece of carpet 27" in diameter with a slit going to the middle. Lowered the spare, put it on, carpet side to the tire, raised it back up. Hopefully the next time I lower it, it will be useable in an emergency.

By the way, the tire already shows marks after 1-1/2 weeks of ownership!!
