You guys are harsh on Cliff. He was only making the point that the F1 is a superior performance tire. I don't know why some people have hydroplanning issues with the kooks and not the F1's. Maybe it's tire pressure. Anyway I ran 3 sets of F1's over 75k miles and had many hydroplanning episodes. I've yet to hydroplane with the kooks after 20k miles. The kooks aren't the answer for everyone but they make alot of $ sense if you drive 20k miles per year or more.

SVT was smart enough to track these tires a 420 tread wear, I'll let that thought settle a bit, you can get back to me on it.

Would the composition of the pavement in the different parts of the country influence the performance of a tire. If so, That could be the reason why people are experiencing different levels of handling with the same tire.
Just a thought.

No, surely that wouldn't have any bearing on traction?

/facetious mode off

I'm not exactly sure why FLbigdog is getting so personal with all this, but
the reason I run the 'gooks on-track is because they are my steet
tire and are infinitely better in the rain than my Hoosiers or GS / CS
Goodyears. THEY ARE MY FREAKING RAIN TIRE, A-HOLE, so ****.

FLbigdog, have you ever even been on a track with your truck?

And since y'all seem to think that anyone that HAS issues with wet
performance with your "dream" tire is either an idiot or a liar, I suggest
you bring it on-track and let someone with F1's royally spank your sorry
****. But Car and Driver MUST be lying, right?

Sheez ... I'm totally done with this. I'm tired of all the BS.

Cliff

PS... You wanna know why the old guard doesn't post here and try to help
anymore? Look no farther than these kind of attacks.

PSS...hugo blk lytn, buy what you are comfortable with. The $500 dollar
savings (which I question, since the F1's can be aquired for about 190.00)
is a pretty good incentive to move to the 'gooks. Just remember, you pretty
much get what you pay for.

I want to know where I can get some F1s for 190.00 Link?

And things like quoting an entire page full of response just to discuss a single sentence in it.

Noise

Out of four pages of posts, nobody mentioned NOISE. My experience with the original Goodyear's was great, but only lasted 16,000 miles. I switched to Toyo's, and they went 36,000 miles (in fact they probably would have gone a lot further but the NOISE was killing me). Service Specialists in CA, who specialize in wheels and tires recommended the Hankooks. I couldn't be happier.

SRTthis, I think you are completely off on your assessment... I won't call you a moron, but how can you recommend the Toyo and then call the Hankooks junk... That really makes no sense...

Get the hankooks...
